Important message from Kaiser Permanente
The National Union of Healthcare Workers (NUHW), which represents about 1,400 mental health professionals in Northern California, has announced plans for a strike scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. on Monday, November 16. At this time the union has not provided Kaiser Permanente with an end date for its strike.
As always, our first priority is the safety and care of our members and patients. All of our medical centers and offices will remain open, and we’ve taken steps to make sure our members will continue to receive high-quality mental health services during the strike. Members will be contacted directly by the Behavioral Health department in advance if there is any change affecting their appointments.
