- Providing world class research based curriculum
- Promoting the District's core beliefs about teaching and learning
- Facilitating coordination of Pre K-12 education
- Providing support, technical assistance, and consultation to to the schools
- Determining program effectiveness through data analysis
With 37 years of experience in education—34 of those spent at school sites with a deep commitment to literacy leadership and student success—this role has grown to support a broader, districtwide impact. Three years ago, a transition to the District Office created the opportunity to collaborate with administrators, teachers, and educational partners as part of the Educational Services team. Current responsibilities include overseeing College and Career initiatives, student achievement data and analysis, and guiding Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). Additional areas of focus include coordinating after-school programs (ASES, STARS, and ELO-P); leading UPK–3 literacy and transitional kindergarten (TK) implementation, and managing grant-funded projects such as the California Community Schools Partnership Grant.
