LCAP, Grant Plans & Reports
The LCAP is a critical part of the new Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). Each school district must engage parents, educators, employees, and the community to establish these plans. The plans will describe the school district's overall vision for students, annual goals, and specific actions the district will take to achieve the vision and goals.

LCAP Needs Assessment Survey
Dear Educational Partners,
We are excited to invite you to participate in our survey as we begin the planning process for the 2026-27 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). The LCAP is a critical component of our district's ongoing commitment to ensuring that all students have access to high-quality education. It outlines our goals, actions, and expenditures to improve student outcomes, with particular attention to the needs of disadvantaged students.
Your input is essential in helping us understand the needs and priorities of our students, staff, and community. This survey is designed to gather valuable feedback from educational partners like you—parents, students, teachers, administrators, and community members—so that we can create a meaningful, effective, and inclusive LCAP that addresses the unique needs of all learners.
By completing this survey, you will help shape the direction of our district's educational goals and ensure that our resources are allocated in ways that have the greatest positive impact on student success.
Thank you for your time and valuable insights. Together, we can work toward a stronger future for all of our students.

Estimados socios educativos:
LCAP Federal Addendum
The LCAP Federal Addendum compliments the LCAP to ensure the Local Educational Agency (LEA) Plan provisions of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) have been met. ESSA funds are supplemental to state funds. The Federal Addendum outlines how the MJUSD maximizes the impact of federal investments to support underserved students in order to achieve readiness for college, career, and lifelong learning. ESSA implementation presents an opportunity for LEAs to innovate with federally-funded programs and align them with the priority goals in the state’s Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). Under the ESSA Provisions Addressed Within the LCAP section, state priority alignment numbers are provided to demonstrate where ESSA provisions are referenced in the LCAP.
Comprehensive Support and Improvement
The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires state educational agencies to determine school eligibility for Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI). Schools were eligible for CSI on the 2019 Dashboard if they were a public high school with a graduation rate below 68 percent or, at least, the lowest-performing 5 percent of Title I schools. Local educational agencies (LEAs) with schools that are eligible for CSI must partner with stakeholders to develop and implement a school plan for the school to improve student outcomes.
Community Day School (CDS) was identified for CSI in the 2020-21 school year. Below is the CDE approved 2020-21 CSI Prompts.
