Jordan Reeves, Superintendent

Dear Marysville Joint Unified School District Community,

It is with great honor and humility that I assume the role of Superintendent of the Marysville Joint Unified School District. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve in this capacity, and I look forward to working alongside each of you to continue advancing the success of our district.

First and foremost, I want to recognize and sincerely thank each of you—our dedicated educators, support staff, families, and community members—for your unwavering commitment to our students. It is through your hard work and passion that MJUSD continues to offer exceptional educational opportunities and choices, helping students pursue and achieve their dreams. Together, we have built a strong foundation, and together, we will continue to grow and thrive.

Our mission remains steadfast and rooted in three core goals:

  • Raising achievement for all students, ensuring that each learner reaches their full potential.
  • Closing the achievement gap among student groups, with a deep commitment to equity and access for all.
  • Maintaining safe and supportive learning environments where students can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.

I am proud to see our district’s motto—“Educating Today’s Youth for Tomorrow’s World”—reflected in the work of every employee, whether classified, certificated, management, or administrative. This guiding principle will continue to shape our decisions and actions, always centered on what is best for our students.

MJUSD serves a diverse and dynamic community of over 10,000 students across more than 75 square miles, encompassing Yuba and Butte counties. Our district includes the communities of Marysville, Olivehurst, Linda, and the foothill areas of Loma Rica, Browns Valley, Yuba Feather, and Dobbins. No matter where you reside within our district, your role as a parent, guardian, or community partner is essential to the success of our schools.

I look forward to working collaboratively with all of you—families, staff, students, and community members—as we continue to build a brighter future for MJUSD. Together, we are what makes this district strong.

With gratitude and commitment,
Superintendent
Marysville Joint Unified School District
