AB2534 Prospective Certificated Hiring Evaluation
For Applicants of MARYSVILLE JOINT uNIFIED School District
Effective January 1, 2025, and in accordance with Education Code section 44939.5 (as amended by California AB 2534), applicants for certificated positions must provide a complete list of all previous school employers, including:
• School districts
• County offices of education
• Charter schools
• State special schools
• Local education agencies outside California
This applies regardless of length of service and includes part-time, full-time, and substitute employment. Applicants may be required to provide additional details about previous employment during the screening process.
Failure to disclose any previous educational employment will result in the disqualification of your application.
For Local Education Agencies (LEAs) and Previous mjusd Employees
Under AB 2534, Marysville Joint Unified School District must disclose whether a former employee was the subject of credible complaints, substantiated investigations, or disciplinary actions for egregious misconduct (as defined in Education Code 44932(a)(1)) that were required to be reported to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
If such a report was made, MJUSD will provide all relevant records upon inquiry from a prospective employer.
