Steve Johnson at Foothill
I have worked at Foothill with Steve for over 25 years. I am a teacher and he has been our custodian. He has raised a big family alone and has worked tirelessly to support them, while giving and giving at Foothill, keeping our school clean and beautiful. Steve recently had a knee replacement because of all the hard work at school, and in his life. He came back to us full of energy and a desire to help kids and help our school.
Tiffany Bautista at Cedar Lane
Tiffany has been an amazing mentor and team member. She goes above and beyond for our students. She has been an amazing team member to work with and I have learned a lot working alongside her.
Miranda Clayton Denton at Olivehurst
Miranda is always willing to help out students. She takes our tier 3 intervention students and gives them the extra help that they need. Miranda is also a great resource to talk to for students who are having behavior problems and gives great suggestions to help them become successful. She also attends SST meetings and has great insight and suggestions for parents. For our school garden she has worked tirelessly to schedule a garden clean up day with Say Love, get donations of dirt and plants, and picked those donations up.
Dr. David Vujovich at Marysville
Dave noticed that I was struggling with my health after being diagnosed with Covid and he took the time to check in on me. This small gesture made me feel valued as an employee.
Neville Henry at McKenney
Neville is always so positive and friendly! Even when a student is having a challenging day, Neville maintains a calm and patient presence. I appreciate all of the times we cross paths on campus because he always brightens up my day!
Sharon Criddle at McKenney
Sharon is always willing to help fill in at the office or wherever may be needed. She always has a smile and works really hard to keep the library stocked with great books. We absolutely love having her here at McKenney.
David Jones at North/South Lindhurst, Abraham Lincoln
David Jones is an amazing principal! He is intelligent, kind, consistent, forward thinking, inclusive, and he probably works harder than any of us! He is extremely supportive of his teachers, but his real effectiveness comes from his absolute dedication and determination to helping our students succeed. He expects a lot from his teachers, but he is always right by our side helping us deliver. I feel very fortunate to work with Mr. Jones, he is a shining star in our district.
Constance Franklin at Johnson Park
I have the privilege to be Constance's mentor and I am just so inspired by her dedication, enthusiasm and hard work. She is doing an amazing job. Her colleagues, students and school community are lucky to have her at Johnson Park!
Tiffany Shelton at Yuba Feather
Tiffany is truly one in a million. Whether it is her job, volunteering, PTSA, or yearbook she always goes above and beyond. When storms hit, dumping feet of snow at Yuba Feather Tiffany exceeded beyond! She somehow managed to get to the school providing daily updates and photos of conditions. When snow loads became increasingly close to exceeding capacity Tiffany pushed aside her fear of heights and was up on the roof assisting with snow removal. When rains and runoff were too great for drains to handle causing flooding, Tiffany waded out in her water socks to divert the water away from classrooms. There is nothing Tiffany will not or cannot do! Staff is in awe of her might and have affectionately referred to her as Mountain Mama and The Incredible Woman. She is also a kind and caring human, coworker and friend. It is my honor to recommend Tiffany, she genuinely makes a difference.
Teri Shrader at Browns Valley
Mrs. Shrader is such a talented teacher. The energy and creativity she puts into for our rallies is so impressive. I am so blessed to work with staff that put in so much time and effort for our students.

Kevin Yang at North Marysville
It is great to work with Kevin! He is kind and funny and sincere and professional all at the same time. The students love and respect him and the whole school relies on him to schedule our classes and make sure our students are on track to graduate. He definitely has the students’ best interest in mind as he excels at his job as counselor of NorthSLHS. We are lucky to work with him. He definitely is having a positive impact in our district.

Luis has plenty of routine things to take care of on a daily basis and he does an amazing job keeping our campus clean and in top shape. Even with his daily work load he is quick to come to the rescue when his help is needed for all of those sudden and unpredictable custodial needs that arise. No matter what comes up, he is there with a smile and a positive attitude.
Steven Stanaland at District Office
Steven is such a pleasure to work with in the print shop. Over the past year and a half he has proven time and time again that he can handle projects big and small with tight timelines. He is a motivated self starter and I am very lucky to work with him. I could not do this without him!

During that time, Hailey made sure the substitute teacher had all the instructional plans and materials needed to ensure the students continued to receive a high-quality education while their teacher was out. The students and their families, the second grade team, and Linda Elementary are fortunate to have such a caring, hard-working professional like Hailey Carlson serving our school community!
Shelly Arrenquin at District Office
6am was when the AVID conference registrations opened and we heard it was like a Taylor Swift concert as they sell out quickly. Shelly came in early and was in contact constantly with our department for those unusual questions or unregistered employees. Needless to say multi sites with 40+ employees got their location and sessions within hours of the registration opening. 3 of out the 4 selected locations are sold out. Shelly is our Taylor Swift pop star.
Adriana Jacquez at Johnson Park
Adriana is new this year and has done an amazing job helping both students and staff. She has rocked the SST process and has also helped with touchy student situations, as well as translating whenever needed. I don't know what we would do without Ms. Adriana!
Yesenia Cachu at Marysville
This young teacher is hot! It took me a good 5 years to learn what this new teacher already knows.
Fernando Ibarra at McKenney

Mat regularly goes above and beyond in his support of students, colleagues, and families. He recently spent many hours coaching and encouraging students as they prepared for a local Poetry Out Loud event, but still made time for last minute review and assistance with a speech contest. She is one of the reasons that I have been able to quickly acclimate to the school culture and climate and she is a huge part of the school community. She loves every student, and I have never seen one person give or receive as many smiles in a day!
Betty Adamson at Linda
By coincidence, Linda Elementary's first grade team has included at least one long-term substitute teacher on their team throughout the entirety of the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years. While these guest teachers have been willing to do the work, they come to us without experience with, and knowledge of, our instructional program; curriculum; assessments; report card and grading processes; PBIS expectations and procedures; etc. Time and time again, Betty has stepped in to provide guidance and assume a mentor-like role for these long term substitute teachers and helped support them in managing the many roles and responsibilities they must assume as a classroom teacher. While we are very much looking forward to the day our first grade team is once again complete with our full starting teacher lineup, we appreciate Mrs. Adamson's efforts and dedication to supporting our substitute teachers to ensure ALL of Linda Elementary's first graders have access to a high-quality education!
