The Learning Center staff is very excited to welcome you into the Learning Center.  We are looking forward to a wonderful school year!

My name is Amanda Bowman and I am in the learning center every period, except for 3^rd period. I am available during this time for questions or concerns. 

While I am not in the classroom, Mrs. Pruitt is running the learning center.  I have the pleasure to work with Mr. White, Mrs. Jones, and Mr. Waters throughout the day. We are really looking forward to a new and exciting year!

What is the LearningCenter?

The Learning Center is a class designed to help develop reading, writing, critical thinking and math skills.  We will focus on organization and character skills as well.  Our goal is to provide instruction in areas that the students may have weaknesses or where they are missing skills. The students will be assessed and placed in to small groups for instruction that is more targeted and tailored to their needs. 

Students will not have homework in this class, therefore attendance is vital and absences will affect their overall grade.

Students are responsible for keeping a binder for this class and will be graded based on the work in the binder, as well as their behavior in class.
