Physical Education P.E. will include daily warm-ups, jogging, teambuilding, sports skills, and practicing good sportsmanship. There will be a physical fitness test in the spring, so it is important for students to participate in P.E. each day. Appropriate clothes and shoes should be worn daily. If students are wearing skirts and/or shoes that are not suitable for P.E., then they should bring shorts to wear and/or socks and shoes to change into during P.E. time at the end of the day. Participation: All students are required to participate in P.E. activities each day. In the event of an injury, students must provide a parent's note to be excused from participation. If the injury requires three or more days of rest, a doctor's note is required. Homework: There is no formal P.E. homework, but I encourage students to remain active at home rather than sitting in front of the TV. Simple activities like sit ups, push ups, yoga, stretching, walking and jogging can make a huge impact on students' health. By getting in the habit of staying fit now, students are setting the path for a healthy future! |
