History/Social Studies

History class will cover the early years of United States history as well as all 50 states and their capitals.  We will begin the year by learning about the native americans and early explorers and settlers.

Homework:  There is no formal homework for history; however, students who are absent from school must make up missed work at home.  Students should also review topics covered in class and prepare for tests.  Tests will always be announced to students in advance.  I strongly encourage students to begin learning the 50 states, their locations, and their capitals.  I will provide resources to help them remember this information.

Current Unit: 2 - Making a New Nation: Revolution through Constitution

State and capital research will take place this trimester as well!
