Math

Math class will use the Saxon curriculum.  Each day will include a Power Up, Mental Math, Problem Solving, New Concept, Lesson Practice, and Written Practice (homework).

Homework:  For math, students can expect to complete a nightly math assignment. Students will receive guidance and time to begin the work in class, but any remaining problems (total of 30) must be completed at home.  We will correct the nightly homework each day in class.  Students are expected to review and correct missed problems. 

Tests: Because of the way the Saxon curriculum is arranged, it is not possible to have tests only on Fridays; however, students will know in advance when a test is going to be given.  Each test includes a sampling of problems from the entire year's curriculum.
