Intro is a performance graded class, attendance at auditions, rehearsals and shows makes up the bulk of the grade.

Rehearsals generally run from 3 to 5. Time needed for rehearsals increases as we get near a show.

When rehearsals extend past 6 students are given a 1/2 hour dinner break.

Rehearsals are scene specific at the beginning which means not every student rehearses every day, however, if your child is a principle lead it may be most every day.  From about the middle of rehearsal time on, most rehearsals are for everyone every day.

Students given lead parts requiring solos will be given a solo rehearsal schedule with the music director.  Solo rehearsals happen weekdays between 6 and8:30 and on weekends, it is of upmost importance that students attend these reheartsals. I have seen remarkable changes in the lives of young men and women involved in intro, I think if you take a deep breath and let it happen you will be greatly pleased.

I will give out rehearsal schedules, I really try to stick with them, however, occasionally they do change slightly.  On these schedules will be listed parent meetings and work days these are very important because without parental support and hard work theater of this type would be impossible.

Parent Producer

Each production needs a parent producer, this person is the glue that calls, e-mails, and has to bug me to make sure all the behind the scenes work is done.  They don't have to be talented in any area except organization and follow through, think hard about if this job fits your personality it really  is vital.
