Measure H

Lease - Leaseback Agreements

The Marysville Joint Unified School District has embarked in a multi-million dollar renovation and building program that will address needs, both site specific and District wide. Funding for the construction and modernization will be made available through Developer Fees, Certificates of Participation (COPs), State Matching and the passing of Measure H.

In addition to the current aging facilities, the program will identify increasing enrollment and put forth efforts to address projected growth studies. The District is working with a number of consultants that have an expertise in various aspects of the program. These professionals will assist in planning, design and construction of projects. However, due to lack of sufficient monies, the District will not be able to address all needs as identified through the planning stage. To compensate for budget reality, together with our consultants and with feedback from many District employees, a master plan has been created for each school site. The master plan will be split into multiple phases that will allow for construction today without causing coordination issues at a later date.

The District has a basic belief in that all students will meet certain requirements for grade level promotion and ultimately graduation. It is the intent of the District to provide such facilities that will offer opportunity for students through quality teaching and learning environments.

The Facilities Department will take steps to ensure uniformity of approach to the projects by the various design teams. The department will express the need and desire with respect to quality and type of materials and systems to be incorporated into the various designs. These specific needs will be identified in a document that the Marysville Joint Unified School District will adopt as the District “Design Standards”.

If you would like to view the Phase I and/or Future Site Plans for each school site, please click on the schools link at the top of the page, find the school desired, and click on Measure H Site Plans.
