A DRAFT copy of Marysville Joint Unified School District’s Reopening of School Plan for the 2020-21 school year is now on our District website at: DRAFT - MJUSD Reopening Plan. The purposes of this reopening of school plan is to slow the spread of COVID-19, keep students and staff healthy and safe, and maximize direct contact and instruction between students and teachers.
This DRAFT reopening plan is based on California Department of Public Health (CDPH) guidelines and the California Department of Education’s (CDE’s) guidebook for reopening California schools, Stronger Together. This plan is the result of just under four thousand parent survey responses, input from MUTA leadership via multiple meetings, input from hundreds of teachers via surveys and 12 site meetings, four meetings with Principals, four meetings with Directors, a Board presentation, and hours of collective conversations, correspondence, and collaboration. The purpose of this DRAFT plan is to share our thinking up to this point, with every stakeholder to allow you an opportunity to provide feedback before the plan is finalized toward the end of July. To provide feedback, please click this link: MJUSD Reopening Plan Comment Form. Your feedback will allow us to make the best informed decisions possible for student health, safety, and learning.
These are challenging and unprecedented times. We so appreciate your patience, trust, and support, as we work together, to keep everyone healthy and safe for student learning and growth. Have a real good evening.
