**Two-Day classes (15 hours) = 1 HS Credit in Fine Arts or Elective classes
Students must keep a log of their times and signed by instructor.

Saturday-Sunday, October 19-20, 2019 - Gourds, Nature's Bowls
Students will be guided through the process of carving gourds. 3 projects= 1 unit
Saturday-Sunday, October 26-27, 2019 - Beading with PEYOTE STITCH
Students will be guided though the process of Beading in Peyote Stitch style. 3 Projects= 1 unit
Saturday-Sunday, November 2-3, 2019 - Making a Girls Dance Shawl
Dancing is part of the American Indian heritage. A shawl is part of a woman's dance regalia. Students will make a basic dance shawl= 1 unit
Friday-Saturday-Sunday, November 8-10, 2019 - Field trip to DQ-U, Storytelling
Storytelling is used as an oral form of language associated with practices and values essential to developing one's identity. Students will be guided through the what-how-why's of the art of storytelling= 1 unit
Monday-Tuesday, November 25-26, 2019 - Making Moccasins
Student will be guided through the process of making moccasins from hides, including decorative beading= 1 unit
Saturday-Sunday, December 21-22, 2019 - Leather Projects
Students will learn how to work with tanned leather. Students will make keychains, belts and leather pictures. Field trip on Saturday to leather Shop in Marysville= 1 unit
Saturday-Sunday-, anuary 4-5, 2020 - Hide Tanning
Students will learn how to tan hides. 1 unit
Monday - Tuesday, January 6-6, 2020 - Making a Hand Drum
Students make a hand drum worth $145. 1 unit
Thursday-Friday, January 9-10, 2020 - T-Shirts and More
Students will be guided through processes of making paint, silk screening and tie-dye methods. students will finish 3 projects. Field trip on Saturday to local shop. 1 unit
Saturday-Sunday, January 18-19, 2020 - Abalone Shell
Students will be guided through the processing of abalone shells from the beginning to 3 final products. Field trip to local shop. 1 unit
