Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, Marysville Joint Unified School District the Director of Nutrition Services administers the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program these programs make it possible to provide breakfast, lunch and after-school snacks and a summer lunch program at some campuses.
The Nutrition Services Department also provides catering services for District/School related functions separate from the NSLP.
The Director of Nutrition Services facilitates the Wellness Policy for the Wellness Committee which is made up of Board Members, District Staff, School Site Staff, and outside Community-based organizations.
Nutrition Services provides/support and resources for compliant food related school fundraisers when requested.
The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well-being and their ability to learn. One way is by promoting fitness and nutrition with annual events at the school site level throughout the District.
We support student academic achievement by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.
